Reason why I love A7X ...

Didunia ini ada bnyak band, mulai dari band Indonesia, band amerika, band local dan lain2. Setiap orang punya selera music masing2, ada yg suka pop, rock, metal, lagu mellow yg bkin org pgen gantung diri karna galau. Dan ane lagi tergila2 sama music rock/metal.

Band rock yg pertama kali ane suka adalah My Chemical romance, dulu pas ane masih SMP, ketika itu yg lagi hits nya “Welcome to Black Parade” . tapi dulu ane gak terlalu update dgan musik2 luar (karna juga masih kecil, jadi dngerin yg lokal2 aja hahaa :P).

Beranjak dewasa ane kenal a7x, pas sma sih. Dan pas dengerin lagu a7x prtama kali seperti nemuin sesuatu yg hilang. Dan terbukti pas dengerin tu ane lgsung bilang “Wah ini dia yang ane cari2, sesuatu yang hilang.. *lgsung sorak2 nemuin jepit jemuran yg hilang smalaman).

A7X tu menurut ane adalah generasi baru dari music rock atau metal atau semacam nya lah. Ane suka lagunya karna lagunya tu gak ngebosenin. Tiap lagu ada cirri khas sendiri. Pas ane dengerin, wah .. amazing. Gitar solo nya hamper tiap lagu ada dan itu semua beda2 dan unik. Ane dengerin nya sampai menggigil ..(hahaa). Drum nya apalagi, The Rev (sayang udah meninggal tahun 2009 lalu). Ampir tiap lagu juga ada cirri khas. Tiap album mereka punya kharakteristik sendiri. Pertama , sounding the sevent trumpet (yang ini gak suka2 amat), kedua Waking the Fallen, cirri khasnya si Matt Shadow masih teriak2 manggil maling (hahah, maksudnya masih scream) , lagunya juga metalcore dan ane suka. Beranjak di City of Evil, screamnya udah gak ada lagi. A7X ganti konsep album mereka ke hardrock classic. Ni album yg paling ane suka. Skillnya nomor 1 dah. (gak perlu ane certain panjang lebar, dgerin sendiri aja deh.. hhaha). 

Next Album selft titled “Avenged Sevenfold”. Ni ane suka juga. Album nya lebih ke hardrock juga, tapi lebih easy listening. Kalo single nya sih juaranya “Dear God”. Orang kebanyakan tau A7X malah dari lagu ini. Next lagi ke Nightmare. Album ini suram bgt karena gak ada lagi the Rev. drummer nya sementara diisi oleh Mike Portnoy. Mengapa album ini ane katakana seram, karena lagu ini kyak gk berkonsep gitu. Ada macem2, ada metalcore di God Hates us, slow rock di victim dan tonight the world dies, ada piano ballad asli ciptaan rev, piano yg ciptain the Rev dan ada vocal the rev juga . tapi album ini masih dalam kategori terbaik.

Panjang lebar cerita tentang a7x, ane move on lagi. Sekarang lagi demen2 nya sama BFMV, Black veil brides, band2 yang metalcore/punk/rock/deathcore. Yang deathcore baru coba2 dengerin, kyak BMTH, As I Lay Dying, dll. Deathcore ane lg nyesuain karna ane gak terlalu suka sama scream yg melengking2 itu kayak setan aja suaranya.. haha ngeri. Ane lebih suka yg growl atau menggumam, kayak A Day to Remember, dll.

Mengapa ane suka lagu2 yg kayak gini? Soalnya lagu nya tu bikin smangat aja, ngilangin muram. Apalagi kalo smangat udah down kan, dengerin aja lagu ni dan semangat lagi. Ada sisi positif nya juga. Ane lebih suka dengerin musiknya nya aja, soalnya teliti lebih teliti kalo baca lirik nya banyak yang nyeleneh, yg gak jelas maksudnya apa. hmmm...

Foto-foto konser A7X di Dubai, Uni Emirat

A7X dalam Tour Asia nya, kini telah sampai di Dubai, Uni Emirat Arab. Bertepat tanggal 4 Mei 2012 silam, Dubai digoyang (eh maksudnya diguncang) oleh band jebolan U.S ini. Konser ini merupakan sederet jadwal manggung A7X setelah tidak jadinya konser di Jakarta tanggal 1 Mei silam karena beberapa hal. (baca di http://on.fb.me/NRYXMQ)

Synyster Gates, lead guitar. Cenderung datar ketika solo (sorry syn --v hehe) tapi permaianan nya dengan solo solo yang rumit dan kecepatan permaianan nya tidak diragukan lagi. coba dengarkan saja lagu Afterlife, Bat Country (duet ZV), Second Heartbeat dan lagu lagu lainnya. Tak salah dia di nobatkan sebagai salah satu gitaris terbaik di dunia. :D

Arin Ilejay, sang penggebuk drum yang baru untuk A7X mulai tahun 2011, masih additional tapi dia telah banyak menunjukkan skill nya dan bermain untuk lagu-lagu A7X, mulai dari Second heartbeat, The beast and harlot, Bat country dan Save me dengan permainan drum yang rumit telah dimainkannya. Drummer muda berbakat ini pernah menjadi drummer untuk band Confide.

Johnny Crist, sang bassis, biasa tampil dengan rambut mohawk ala gaya punk atau rambut pendek dicat seperti gambar di atas.
